David Tennant to Leave Doctor Who
Fans of Doctor Who who were just watching the National Television Awards would have been shocked at what David Tennant announced. David Tennant won Best Drama Performance and Catherine Tate accepted it for him as he was performing Hamlet, but he did make a speech live from there, confirming that he will not play the Doctor after the 2009 specials meaning that there will be a new Doctor in Series Five in 2010. Many fans are very upset after hearing this news. Not only did David Tennant win an award, but so did Doctor Who itself, and Russell T Davies, Catherine Tate, Noel Clarke, Camille Coduri and Elisabeth Sladen all went up on stage to accept the award. As soon as I can I will post the speeches that were made.
